Bisco is a successful mural and effects artist, specializing in
metallic paint effects and custom painted finishes in private homes and
in the restaurant/bar industry, where her extraordinary talent can be
shared with thousands. Producing decorative painting effects in
Westchester Co. NY, Rockland Co. NY, Putnam Co. NY, Fairfield Co.
CT, & New York City, JB Paint Effects has proved capable of
adapting to the varied styles of its clients. JB Paint Effects clients
range from private homes, to London Lofts, to McDonalds
in Times Square (NYC), to trendy Connecticut restaurants and elaborate
Westchester Bistros.
Josephine
grew up in South East England, moving to New York in 1995. In 1998 she
moved to Phoenix, Arizona to study at the Katherine K.Herberger College
of Fine Arts in Arizona State University. Josephine's efforts at ASU
and her abilities as an artist were reflected by her success in
securing scholarships to fund her studies. She graduated from ASU Summa
Cum Laude with the earned title of 'Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) Hons.'
Josephine's
work has been shown in juried exhibitions and she also received honors
for Drawing, as number one in Arizona State at graduation. She was
awarded a 'Thesis of Distinction' for her honors thesis exhibition
entitled, 'The First Sin and its Punishment' in 2002. Additionally, the
artist was solely featured in the Katherine K. Herberger College of
Fine Arts prospectus for the School of Art 2003, and selected for
publication in 'Promising Artists International' magazine. Post
graduation, Josephine has been featured in the Westchester County
Times, and was awarded the cover of the Fairfield County Times in
February 2005.
Josephine
has now returned to New York. After spending time working from a studio
in the trendy TriBeCa arts district of Manhattan, she apprenticed 3
years for a Westchester-based Interior Design company and opened
Josephine Bisco Decorative Art in 2006. Due to the business' increased
success and demand, JB Paint Effects, Inc. was formed in January 2007.
Josephine
Bisco's fine art work forms part of numerous international private
collections, while her decorative painting and mural work is showcased
in many homes, restaurants and commercial spaces around New York and
Connecticut.
